1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by 4 The Artist. By applying for or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services

4 The Artist provides professionally designed websites, PDF profiles, and branding services tailored for artists and creatives in South Africa.

3. Eligibility & Acceptance

• Services are limited to approved applicants only.
• Only 200 artists will be accepted for the 2026 intake.
• 4 The Artist reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its discretion.

4. Pricing & Payment

• A once-off fee of R350 is required for the website package.
• This price is subsidized, with approximately 90% of the total cost covered by sponsors and partners.
• Full payment must be made before the project begins unless otherwise agreed.

5. Hosting

• The package includes 12 months of free hosting from the date the website goes live.
• After the initial 12-month period, hosting will be charged at R60 per month.
• Continued hosting is optional but required to keep the website live.

6. Content & Revisions

• Clients are responsible for providing all required content (text, images, media, etc.).
• Reasonable revisions during the design phase are included.
• Any content edits or updates requested after project completion will be billed at R150 per hour.

7. Project Timelines

• Timelines depend on client responsiveness and submission of required content.
• Delays in providing content may result in project delays.
• 4 The Artist is not responsible for delays caused by the client.

8. Ownership & Usage

• Upon full payment, the client owns the final website design and content (excluding third-party tools, themes, or software where applicable).
• 4 The Artist reserves the right to showcase completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes.

9. Refund Policy

• Due to the subsidised nature of the service, payments are non-refundable once work has commenced.
• If a client fails to provide content or becomes unresponsive, the project may be paused or closed without refund.

10. Termination

• 4 The Artist reserves the right to terminate services if terms are violated.
• If hosting fees are not paid after the free period, the website may be suspended or taken offline.

11. Limitation of Liability

4 The Artist will not be held liable for:

• Loss of business, opportunities, or income
• Third-party platform issues
• Downtime or technical issues beyond our control

12. Changes to Terms

4 The Artist reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
